What is Velocity?
Velocity - An Airline Industry integration engine that provides speed in both Implementation and in Operation
Working with multiple airline clients, we searched for an integration tool that would meet the needs of our clients for a high-performance, lightweight integration tool that was designed with the unique needs of airline operations: mainly, getting data in and out of the GDS, processing that data for other airline systems, and acting directly upon the PNRs, Tickets and Queues within the GDS using its native command structure.
When we couldn't find a system for them, we built Velocity. Velocity was designed from the start to help airlines access the data that is always difficult to locate and extract from within the GDS, provide that data to systems that can perform transactions on the data without incurring the per-transaction fees that the GDSs charge, and re-inject transactions to the GDS when necessary to provide continuity to other airline systems and maintain interoperability.
Along the way, we added the ability for Velocity to act as its own Reservations System, including schedules, fares, ticket sales, virtual tickets, ticket status and more.
So what can Velocity do? Here is a short list - but only a demonstration can communicate all of the features that Velocity can provide your airline, travel agency, consolidator, or charter operation.
